(Project) Concept for Learning Communities
1 Introduction
"Learning Communities" is a term for a template for a cohort-based, interdisciplinary approach to higher education. A learning community is a group of people
- connected by a sense of membership,
- who are actively engaged in learning together from each other,
- their individual needs are met and
- they have some influence on their joint way of collaboration.
We gathered requirements for implementing the concept of „Learning Communities“ for ILIAS 4.6. Two workshops were held in January / February 2014 on behalf of the University of the Federal Armed Forces of Germany at Hamburg. The workshop was run by Alexandra Tödt (leifos, toedt@leifos.com)
Participants were delegates from:
- University of the Federal Armed Forces of Germany at Hamburg
- University of Applied Sciences of Ostwestfalen-Lippe
- University of Applied Sciences of Dortmund
- ILIAS open source e-learning society
- leifos GmbH
- Databay AG.
