Notify Users after Bulk Operation
1 Requirements
There is a functional gap between two features that weakens usability of user administration a lot:
- Bulk operations on several user accounts (e.g., setting user active/inactive, setting/removing limited access)
- Notification of users on changes in their account
Example scenario where this appears to be a deficit:
- You allow self-registration but only with confirmation.
- Several users register and receive an e-mail telling them they still have to wait for confirmation.
- In the end of the day/week/etc., you filter for inactive users and bulk-set them active (to avoid that you have to open each single one of maybe dozens of user forms).
- However: After this operation, users do not receive any e-mail telling them they have been confirmed!
