« Cannot Attend » Button in Sessions
Page Overview
[Hide]1 Initial Problem
If we use sessions to organise voluntary meeting it is necessary to know who will attend and who will not attend a session. Currently we only see who will attend. Users that would like to come but cannot due to which reason ever are treated in the same way like those who are already "dead".
2 Conceptual Summary
A button "Cannot participate" would solve this problem. This button should appear for all registration procedures except "No Registration Necessary". Additionally, a new column "Excused" should be added to tab "Participants" (in case one of the supported registration procedures has been selected).

7 Discussion
Matthias Kunkel, 20 Mar 2014: I have changed the name of this page from "Sign-off button" to "Improved Participants Handling in Sessions" and added the filter and counter feature.
Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 26 APR 2019: Modified the request due to the fact that a filter for registered users has been implemented in the meantime. So this request just focuses on an alternative button to signify that one cannot participate.
JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 07 OCT 2019: We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for ILIAS 6. We prefer to label the button "Cannot Attend".
