Book only a defined number of objects per user

1 Requirements

In many use cases at universities, e.g. presentation topics, term papers,..., the course admin might want to restrict the booking process to one / n booking(s) per user. That way students would have to choose one (n) out of the set of booking objects but could not overbook and thus block items for other students.

Feature requirement list:

  • book x out of n booking objects per user

4 Discussion

JL, 10 Apr 2014: I support this request. I understand it as a booking pool setting which restricts the number of bookings of all objects in this pool a(ny) user can make to 1-n.

Marko Glaubitz, 10 Apr 2014: Yes, that's what I had in mind!

JF 14 Apr 2014: We support this feature request and schedule it for 4.5. This setting is only offered in the "No Schedule" mode. If a similar settings should be available if schedules are used, it must be type-specific and a time frame would be needed. Please re-schedule the topic if this is needed.

Marko Glaubitz, 14 April 2014: For us the "No Schedule" solution is fine.

5 Implementation

JL 10 Jul 2014: This feature has been implemented for 4.5/trunk.
