Essay Questions in Learning Modules

1 Requirements

It should be possible to embed essay questions into learning modules. The texts entered by the learners should be displayed in the editor of the learning module on the screen "Content" > "Questions".

JF 16 Sep 2013: We support the idea and schedule it for 4.5. It should be possible to give a "general" feedback to the user that e.g. includes a good solution.

John van der Baaren - 4/3/2014:
Essay questions with immediate feedback would be great. This can really help to make learning more active. If possible options for this question type could be:

• Store learner answer for future reference yes/no
• Learner can do the question again yes/no
  • if no learner and system answer are displayed on future visits
  • if yes learner can make the question again and get feedback. Depending on option 1 the learner starts with a blank field or with his previous answer.

Matthias Kunkel, 13 Apr 2014: The feature was already scheduled for 4.5. I have moved John's suggestion to a dedicated page Essay Questions in LM with Immediate Feedback and added it to the 4.5 feature requests because this suggestion has been posted before feature freeze.
