Allow Multiple ExcludePattern or IncludePattern Items

1 Requirements

Up to now, the items <includePattern> or <excludePattern>. can only be used one time per <localPolicyAction>.
However, often it would be helpful to define several subsets of roles to be affected by the <localPolicyAction>.

Examples:

  • Object template "Invisible Folder" that is used to take away the 'visible' permission for folders from course or group members (in order to make folders accessible only via direct links, e.g. in an imagemap). Folders appear in courses and in groups as well. Up to now, there is no way to include the local course member role and the local group member role: In case you use two <includePattern> items, only the last one is accepted.
  • Object template "Course with protected content" that is used to take away all create and edit permissions for content objects (in order to have content that can only be modified centrally by authorized authors).
Roles to be changed are course administrator and tutor. Also here, you can't write one <includePattern> that covers both roles without affecting the course member role, too.
So, it would be helpful to use several <includePattern> or <excludePattern> at once.

Of course, you could simply use several <localPolicyAction> items. However, in that case ILIAS will apply a role templates each for any <localPolicyAction> with the same permissions.
