2 Bugfixing for maintained versions 4.2 and 4.3

We went through Mantis and had a overlook about all open issues reported or modified since the last Jour Fixe. All issues were screened and assigned to the responsible developers. We discussed in detail:

#11146 - survey/test: permission to start run: We currently do not consider this being a bug but a conceptual issue / feature request, that should be adressed in a future version. Please add comments to the feature wiki page at: Consistent_Visible and Read Permission Behaviour (see below).
#11157 - javascript links / empty hrefs: Since the purpose of the menu item is only to open the drop down and not to navigate to any screen, the behaviour of open the link in a new tab/browser window is currently undefined. With Error and No Permission Screen we should at least get a better error page for this case. In general we currently see this issue as "not fixable", since all possible alternatives (javascript void, empty, #, using span) have other some negative side effects. Setting href to "#" is ok for now.
#11159 / #11160: guideline for footer links
- We would like to have the standard footer on all of these pages for 4.4:
  - powered by ILIAS 4.3.3 | Imprint | Contact Administration
- User agreement, forget password/username and the user agreement screen should offer the links (instead of back or cancel buttons) in 4.4:
  - Login | Public Area (if activated)
#11169 - LP collection vs. RBAC: We do not consider this being a bug. The overview in the learning progress must list all items that determine the overall status, to give a transparent presentation to the user. We do not consider this being inconsistent with the container views. For discussion, see: Consistent Visible and Read Permission Behaviour
#11176 - no access to "closed groups" with a registration Link also with right "Join" : We agree. This may be fixed already in 4.3.x. General discussion: Consistent Visible and Read Permission Behaviour

3 Feature Requests for ILIAS 4.4

3.1 Developing Issues 4.4

Formula Question Type: Thanks to Jochen Erkens for the mockups. We appreciate an implementation according to these screens.
Multiple Choice Image Map: A radio option should control whether one or multiple areas can be selected as solution. We need to have a single area solution to be conformant to former questions of this type (see Björn's comment).
Erweiterte Protokollierung: We would prefer 1 or 3. BH/MB and the SIG can decide on choosing one of them.
Terms of Services: Jour Fixe has no objections against a database step to check whether or not there is at least one agreement file stored in file system.
Introducing Organizational Units: We agree with Alex remarks. An additional CSV export can be added. We also shortly discussed the requirement that user/role assignments that have been added by external systems (import/LDAP) may be locked for the user interface. We did not finish this discussion yet, currently this feature would be postponed.
Survey Extension: 360° Questionnaires/Self Evaluation, mode vs. templates:
- We discussed Hansjörgs comment and agree that administrators should be able to close and re-open the surveys. Not to give appraisees the possibility to close a survey would be a new feature request with separate discussion. (Notification and other information would be needed).
- We also discussed the presentation of the "mode" on the creation screen, if settings templates are used. We agree with Matthias' second suggestion that in this case the 360° mode should be listed as one item within the templates selection list (as a variant of the survey).

3.2 Feature Request for 4.4

The following requests have been added to the agenda before feature freeze but were not discussed yet. All of these features have already funding. Nevertheless there is no guarantee that they will be implemented for 4.4 because of restricted development resources at the different service providers.

Checkbox für Mehrfachbuchungen (Buchungstool): We appreciate this feature as described by Alexander Killing, May 2013, and schedule it for 4.4.

There was not enough time to discuss the following suggestions. They are now on the agenda of the next Jour Fixe.

3.3 Postponed Features

The following features have no commitment to fund them and are therefore postponed. They can be scheduled for 4.5 if someone is interesting to contribute the necessary funding. In case there is still an unexpected funding available now, please contact Matthias Kunkel.
