Enhance evaluation of ordering questions

1 Requirements

It should be possible to rate the answers in ordering questions partly.
For example if first and last item is messed up but the rest of the order is correct, there should be partly points given.
If items are in the right order in relation to each other there should also be the possibility to give points for every right ordered items within the whole set.

4 Discussion

Mirco Hilbert, 15.03.2013:
We appreciate this feature. Otherwise a ordering question is unusable for more than 5 items as we experienced in our counsellings.

BH 15 Nov 2013: The maintainers would also like to enhance the scoring of ordering questions, but it isn't as easy as it is described above.

  • Should we rely on correct sub sequences or on correct positioned elements or both?
  • Which of these approaces should dominate when both are to be implemented?
  • Should the approaches to be used by the calculation be configurable?
  • Or is any question thinkable with the ordering question types fairly scored with these concepts?
We have to clearly define the approache(s) to calculate partly points in a technical/mathematical way before we can implement this feature.
