Sorting and Filtering the Personal Desktop Items of a Role

1 Description

Up to now, the Personal Desktop Items of a role are only listed in a very basic way and not entirely consistent:

• The (only) table column is called "Description" although it contains the titles of the objects while the actual description doesn't appear at all.
• The items aren't sorted in an entirely clear way (I suppose, they are sorted according to their ref_ID although they appear in the list with their label).
• Objects put onto the desktop automatically aren't listed at all, e.g., a course isn't listed as "Personal Desktop Item" of its members.

I suggest to introduce some methods to provide more usability of this view:

• There should at least be a clickable column header that allows sorting the list according to the title.
  In that, objects should be sorted according to their labels, not to their ref_ID.
• There could be more sortable columns like "Context" or "Object Type".
• Objects put onto the desktop automatically should be listed, too.
