Sorting and Filtering Offers in Role Copy Process

1 Description

Up to now, the offers presented while copying permissions into a role are only listed in a very basic way and not entirely consistent:

• First the roles, sorted alphabetically
• Then the role templates, sorted in a not entirely clear way
  (I suppose, the system-owned role templates are sorted according to their system identifier "il_ ..." although they appear in the list with their label, e.g., "Course administrator").

While an installation is growing, this list may soon become confusing. Therefore, I suggest to introduce some methods to sort and/or filter it:

• Like in the role administration, there could be clickable column headers that allow sorting the list.
  In that, roles (and templates) should be sorted according to their labels, not to their system identifiers.
• Like in the role administration, there could be a filter that allows to separately display global roles, local roles (manually or automatically created ones) and role templates.
