Set Specific Value For IE-compatible Mode

1 Description

There are authoring-programs for SCORM-modules which expect a specific adjustment for IE-compatible mode. By default now ILIAS makes settings for IE-compatible mode for SCORM 2004, not for SCORM 1.2. A general setting for all SCORM-modules does not make sense! I will propose, to have options for setting an IE-compatible-mode for each SCORM-module separatly.
This works only if the SCORM-module is opened in a new window/tab. Not every installed IE supports the compatible mode.

3 Discussion

JF 2 May 2012: We appreciate the idea and schedule it for 4.3. Please note that the main ILIAS screen may get rid of this mode with 4.3.

JF 29 Apr 2013: We re-schedule this as a usability fix for 4.4.

Uwe Kohnle: 26 May 2014: I support this request and recommend its implementation for 4.5.

JF 7 Jul 2014: We still support this improvements and schedule it for 4.5.

Matthias Kunkel, March 19, 2015: This feature was already scheduled for 5.0 but not implemented due to missing funding / time. There is still a need for this feature. Therefore I have re-scheduled it for 5.1 to save time for discussing new feature requests. Nevertheless, funding is still needed to make this feature go into the 5.1 version.
