Repository Container Plugins

1 Description

The current repository plugin slot does only allow to implement non-container objects as plugins. It would be desirable to have the possibility to implement container objects, too.
 
The first challenge is to figure out, what would technically be needed to support this. We should try to gather information on this. Everyone who is interested in this is invited to post his findings and ideas on this page.
 
Areas that need to be considered:

• Permission handling, esp. create permissions that are necessary.
• Import/Export actions
• Copy actions
• Presentation: Add-New-Item Drop Down
• Presentation of subjobjects (grouping/sorting)
• Text/Media Editor Integration
• Learning Progress Integration (which becomes more relevant, if the container contains subitems with learning progress capabilities)
• Seach Integration (which becomes more relevant with the upcoming Context Sensitive Search)
