Preconditions in tests

We had an online exam with 180 students a few weeks ago at the PHTG. The test was created with only essay questions. The teacher wanted to integrate an individual part for each student (the student had the opportunity to pepare two texts out of 30). Unfortunately it is not possible to configure the test tool for such purposes. Therefore the testing tool should have the preconditions feature as it is integrated in the survey. There are many scenarios where a precondition would make sense. Perhaps a "new question type" is necessary: e.g. a kind of a checklist (single choice) where a topic can be selected. Depending on the students choice the according question pool is activated.
