3rd party chat integration

This suggestion is to provide an alternative to the official ILIAS Chat client. The current Chat has several requirements like Java Server and and exclusive port on the server.

• Development: Feature is to be developed by iNetworks

3 Additional Information

We hope to get funding for this by an existing customer.
We would look for an existing GPL chat project and integrate this with ILIAS in coorporation with the official chat-developers so newer versions of the chat can also be integrated with ILIAS.
Please suggest a chat project if you have a good idea.
