Automatic Forwarding

1 Description

Based on bug #3686 the issue has been raised, how a user should be forwarded to a resource, when he fullfills all preconditions related to the resource.

E.g. A test is a precondition for a course folder. After the test is successfully finished, it would be nice, if the user would be directly forwarded to the folder or at least get a notice that he is now able to access the folder.

5 Discussion

JF, 26 Jan 2009:

  • The fact that a precondition is met, is sometimes triggered by other users. E.g. a tutor sets an exercise on "passed" for a certain user. In this case the information should be displayed at some central place. E.g. personal desktop.
  • We could add a message to the test resource in the repository as well "This test is a precondition for ..." (if the targeted resource is not on the same level)

Zenzen, Enrico [ezenzen], 05 AUG 2022: This request no longer fulfills the requirements of the Feature Wiki. In consultation with the maintainer I change the status of the feature request to "Redundant / outdated". If the request is still relevant, please update template and mockups.
