The "privacy.mds" documentation provides a detailed overview of the 39 different tools and services that are used within the ILIAS platform in various configurations and modes of use within the meaning of the GDPR. The content collected by privacy.mds is designed to help ILIAS platform operators and IT department employees gain a clear overview of the data processed. As a result, the internal processes and processing procedures within the organisation can be better documented.

Data subject rights are a fundamental tool to both strengthen users' trust in the organisations that process their data and to ensure privacy and control over their own personal data. Ensuring these rights not only promotes data protection, but also supports the security and sovereignty of individuals in the handling of their personal information.
