1 Requirements

We should go on in our efforts to improve the accessibilty of ILIAS and to make it easy to use to all kind of user groups. The last revision of ILIAS' accessibility was made with version 4.0 in 2009. Since then, ILIAS has got a lot of new and extended features and screen revisions - and probably not all of them have been checked against accessibility guidelines.

This page is made to collect ideas and suggestions for improving the accessibility in the next major releases. Suggestions and features made me separated later to specific feature wiki pages.

4 Discussion

Alex Killing, 10 Apr 2014: Since this is not a feature request, but an usability/accessibility improvement issue, we can proceed with it discuss detail by detail and implement things as soon as possible.

JF 28 Apr 2014: We support this request and handle it as an ongoing usability improvement during the 4.5 development.

Matthias Kunkel, 05 Jun 2014: I have added a suggestion made by Robert Gemeinhardt about Skip Links, see above.

Schmidt-Sielex, Wolfgang [WSS] 2023-07-20: Feature has been discussed by a sub-group of SIG accessibility and set to 'outdated'. Suggestion resembles our accessibility guidelines:
