OpenCast (API) (fluxlabs) (VERALTET)

The Opencast (API) Plugin connects ILIAS with Opencast (open source video capture and distribution system: www.opencast.org) using the external API. It allows to integrate existing or create new Opencast Series in courses, groups or folders. Existing videos can be cut using the Opencast video editor and new videos can be uploaded manually (without having to consider the usual ILIAS upload limit). Advanced settings and RBAC-functionalities enable a plurality of scenarios.



Main features:

* Legal issues: 1) Streaming only. 2) Individual rights management for each single video.

* Collaboration: Create and organize peer groups.

* Video analyses: Allow annotations to analyse video material.

* Upload for members: Permit students to upload their own video material.

* Allow and configure the publication of videos on the external video platform of your institution

* Scheduling of lecture recordings: Allow scheduling of future lecture recordings for course members.

* Use the Opencast Plugin for implementing a fully automated lecture recording workflow (e.g. by importing scheduling metadata from your Campus Management System).
