Tasks and responsibilities

The office of ILIAS open source e-Learning e.V. organises the society's work on behalf of the Board and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the society. In principle, it is responsible for everything that does not fall within the remit of another body of the society (e.g. Technical Board or Head of Help). These tasks include, among others:

  • Central contact for external enquiries
  • Membership applications and resignations
  • Membership administration
  • Membership fee invoices
  • Financial accounting
  • Personnel administration
  • Marketing
  • Public Relations & Lobbying
  • Co-organisation of the ILIAS conference
  • Co-operations
  • Preparation of the general assembly
  • Provision and support of the technical infrastructure for ILIAS development
