Summary

Each year, a large group of people volunteers to test the upcoming major release of ILIAS. They do so with the guidance of more than 5,000 test cases that aim to test all central parts of the system. We are always looking for more people to join us, in order to achieve a timely and stable release.

Why not join us? :)

There are two main ways to contribute:

By writing and improving test cases from late spring to early autumn.
By executing the tests and reporting issues from autumn to spring.

This presentation explains our current approach to testing ILIAS and tries to answer all your questions concerning our tools, rules, and procedures. If you have ever been intimidated by reading about the importance of "authorities", "test runs", or how to file proper bug reports, this is your 101 to get you started.
