Summary

Technical debt of young and small projects is different from technical debt in mature, large projects. This presentation elaborates these different forms of technical debt, how young and mature projects enter into debt.
We will look at specific means to measure technical debt in mature projects. We combed through literature for suggested approaches to identify technical debt in mature projects.
We will try to apply means of measuring to ILIAS. We will try to compare this measuring of technical debt to selected benchmarks i.e. moodle. We will try to understand the level of technical debt of ILIAS. We will try to gauge the nature of the technical debt in ILIAS and try to map this to known approaches for reducing the technical debt.
We hope to find time for questions and discussions.
