We are the guardians of ILIAS, a leading and mature web-based learning, information and collaboration system that enhances education and training at universities, schools and institutions of public service as well as in companies and businesses.

We want ILIAS to meet a high standard regarding correctness, security and availability and aim to build a software and community that can be trusted in the long run. We strive to deliver a first-class user experience in a wide range of didactic scenarios. We want our software to adopt to the conditions and requirements of its users, whether individuals or organizations, beginners or experts, with or without special needs.

We maintain and improve ILIAS as a collaboration of professionals, supported by many volunteers. We distribute responsibility and accountability among those who are willing and able to take them. We value tangible argumentation, reliable engineering and trust the expertise of others.
