2 Requirements

Option "Get rid of boxes": The ilias.de design already removed borders of blocks, e.g. on the personal desktop and in the repository. If we do this, we should consider to introduce a second base color for sub-headings, like the orange used on ilias.de. This delivers visual guidance, that is lost, if the borders are removed.

5 Discussion

Pascal, 30.06.14:
Get rid of boxes: I don't think this is a good idea, although it sound like one at the first sight. Boxes help to orientate and seperate one thing from the other. That doesn't mean we need boxes with lines all around, this could also be colors or only a few lines.
