Self-Registration Confirmation Email| Is Customisation possible?Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the customization of the confirmation email that the students receive when they self-register in ILIAS. They have 30 minutes to confirm the registration by clicking on a link, which activates their user account.
Can the header of the email (Open Source e-Learning) be customised?
Can the text (body of the email) be customised?
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards

Re: Self-Registration Confirmation Email| Is Customisation possible?Hi Angela,
To customize the New Account Mail email, please navigate to:
Administration -> User Accounts -> Settings -> New Account Mail
You will be able to customize several of the email fields. YOu can also use placeholders for everyting but the subject.

Adam

Re(2): Self-Registration Confirmation Email| Is Customisation possible?Hi Adam,
Thank you for the quick answer. By "subject" you mean the line that reads "Open Source e-Learning" on the top, right-hand corner of the email body, right?
Have a good start to the week,
Angela

Re(3): Self-Registration Confirmation Email| Is Customisation possible?Happy Monday Angela!
Yes, I am pretty sure. I work more in the CORE and plugin space, but I have played with the email section too. Apparently the subject does allow for placeholders as well. The text that is displayed by default has the placeholder of [Ilias] .. and I am pretty sure that can be edited through the GUI at:
Administration -> General Settings
in either the sub tab of "Header Title" or "Basic Settings" (I have the default settings changed, so that is from memory).

Adam

Re(4): Self-Registration Confirmation Email| Is Customisation possible?Hi Angela,
you can change this "Open Source e-Learning" , if you have Serveracces.
You need to go to the folder named : ../Services/Mail/templates/default
there is a .html named: tpl.html_mail_template.html.
There you can change it to what you want.
Unfortunately i am Struggling with a nearby problem. the Logo is never displayed within the e-Mails.
Does anyone know how to fix this ?
Best regards,
Sören
