The 20th International ILIAS Conference will take place on 28 and 29 October 2021. Due to the still unclear pandemic situation, we are holding the conference virtually again this year. Tickets for the event have been available online for some time now.

This week, the conference team has now also published the complete programme. It will be framed by the keynote speeches of two speakers we are particularly pleased about.

Peter Ganten and Bracken Mosbacker, keynote speakers at the 20th International ILIAS Conference

Digital sovereignty is one of the big topics of this conference. In his opening keynote, Peter Ganten from Univention GmbH and board member of the Open Source Business Alliance looks at how we can regain and secure this sovereignty - and what role open source software plays in this.

In his closing keynote, Bracken Mosbacker takes a look at the networking of learning platforms and how the LTI standard helps with this. Mosbacker is a senior LTI engineer at the IMS Global Learning Consortium and has been instrumental in the development of the standard.

In between, we can expect two jam-packed days with contributions on these key topics:
  • E-Assessment - Learnings & Fails
  • Hybrid teaching - hybrid training
  • Empowerment in e-learning
  • Networking ILIAS - Extending ILIAS
  • Digital sovereignty in e-learning

The ILIAS Community Award will be presented again this year as part of the conference. All ILIAS Society members can nominate individuals and teams as award winners until 13 October 2021.
