Call for Papers ILIAS Conference 2014
The hosts of the 13th International ILIAS conference in Bolzano would like to invite all ILIAS users and those interested in e-learning to actively take part in this year's conference by contributing lectures and workshops.

- Diversity of ILIAS : in this topic area we would like to show interesting ways using ILIAS, especially less known features.
- Business and administration processes : this slot is offered for presentations that show how ILIAS is already used to support different business and administration processes, such as compliance or competence management.
- Project and knowledge management : in this topic area we are looking for examples that show how ILIAS can be used for project and knowledged management processes in teams, projects and companies.
- E-Learning in the classroom : this slot is dedicated for presentations about enriching and extending classroom teaching with ILIAS and other tools, didactic scenarios with added value for learners, documentation of learning progress and cooperations between school and university.
- Learning communities : in this topic area we would like to present examples as well as concepts for ways of informal learning and networking of learners outside of courses or training events.
This Call for Papers is open until 05th May 2014, 24:00. Please use the template for suggestions to describe your proposal and send it by e-mail to conference@ilias.de. You will be informed of the decision regarding the acceptance of your contribution by (based on current estimates) 20th May.
The format for your contribution can be either a half-hour lecture or a 90-minute workshop. We are particularly interested in lectures that are stimulating and knowledgeable and give the attendees insight into a specific e-learning scenario. Field reports and conceptual considerations are also welcome. There will be 5-10 mins for questions and discussion at the end of every half-hour lecture.
In contrast to lectures, the format for workshops at ILIAS conferences is oriented more towards intensive discussion and teamwork within the event. For this reason, presentations within a workshop should only be for the introduction and the presentation of a particular application. This means that the role of workshop leaders will be more that of a moderator/guide rather than that of a lecturer. Please keep this in mind when describing and carrying out your workshop.
A reduced conference fee of €100 for the whole conference, including social event, is granted by the organisational committee to the leaders/lecturers of all accepted lectures and workshops. Please understand that this reduced conference fee cannot be further reduced (for example for Early Bird or Society membership holders). It is also only possible to offer one discount per contribution – even if several people are involved.
