Settings

On the "Settings" screen you can check whether the page translation mode is enabled for the language:

If "page translation" is enabled, each page in ILIAS will show a "translation" link in the footer for those users who have the appropriate permission. Clicking on the link opens a translation screen for all language entries on that page (see "Page Translation" chapter below).

By default the page translation is disabled and has to be activated for each language separately. Additionally a user has to have "read" and "Edit Settings" permissions for the language administration. By assigning these permissions to a special role you can give the possibility to correct language mistakes to language experts who don't have access to the rest of the ILIAS administration.
