In the next step you can configure proxy access settings, if your system can not directly access the internet. Here you will need the same settings as used in the system installation for apt and svn.

Optionally you can register your ILIAS installation. This is not a requirement to run ILIAS, but here you can show the ILIAS community that you are present. A big number of ILIAS installation may attract other people to use ILIAS an may help in the ILIAS development.
You can choose not to register or register later, of course.

When the setup-steeps are completed, you can login to your ILIAS client for the first time. If you are new to ILIAS, you may want to explore your system before you proceed.
The following installation steps provided in this module do not neccesarily need to be performed in the order of the chapters, adjust these steps to your needs.
However, dont forget to document the descisions you make and the configuration data you use.
