When the ILIAS setup is finished, working with ILIAS may begin. According to different requirements of the institution, many configuration settings have to be applied. Some of these steps are collected in the following chapters.

Besides the technical steps to bring funtions and features to work, take some time to find a concept for the structure of the ILIAS magazine. Some practises for structuring the magazine may be included in further versions of this document

This chapter gives some hints for configurations steps. ILIAS is extendable by using plugins, which can be found in a database at ilias.de. As examples of plugin- installations, the editable menu and ilias-mobile plugins are included here. On the website, more than 20 plugins wait to be discovered, and offer very interesting functionalities. The procedure of installing other plugins is quite similar to the ones taken for example.
