I hope this document helps out in some situations about installing and providing an ILIAS service on your network.
The system which was installed while writing this document has reached a productive state and starts to be used in practice.
There are some extentions required by the users, as soon as those get implemented there will be additions to this document.
Some technical aspects are not yet documented or fully implemented, so there may be extensions like Radius authentication in the future. Radius is working well in our productive environment.
Kerberos gives a true single-sign-on solution and is described in its own chapter but still requires some fine tuning.
The wishlist comprises installations of an ECS-service and integration of the Openmeetings videoconference tool.
