Release 4.1.8 has been published on 25th October 2011.
 
Please read the ILIAS 4.1 features report for information about major changes and new features of this version.
 
For SCORM 1.2 users: Since we experienced an increasing number of problems with the Java 1.2 RTE, we back-ported the ILIAS 4.2 Javascript RTE to ILIAS 4.1.8. A number of issues should be solved now and the performance is much improved. However if you rely heavily on SCORM you should test this upgrade before using it on your productive system.

Before upgrading an ILIAS installation of version 3.9 or lower to 4.1 you will need to upgrade to 3.10 first. Instructions for updating ILIAS can be found in section 3 of the general installation instructions. For major updates (e.g. 4.0.x -> 4.1.x) the safest proceeding is, to upgrade a copy of your productive system first and test whether everything works ok.

Known Issues

1. The personal learning progress is not displayed correctly.

 
Due to a bug the view for personal learning progress may not load at all, depending on the container items.
 
The zip file contains one file:
Services/Tracking/classes/class.ilLPListOfProgressGUI.php
 
Please backup your current version of this file and copy the patch file to the corresponding directory.
